My laptop is connected to the wifi and some internet apps work but I can't get onto google chrome. Help pleasee

Ok so pretty much everytime I go onto google chrome it automaticlly goes to "there is no internet connection" yet there is. I also can't get onto steam (which should work offline) and spotify, both of them say "can't connect to the server" but I can get onto minecraft multiplayer which as it says is multiplayer and I can connect to people in different countrys. So why is it I can't connect to the servers and Internet on Google chrome?

You might have corrupt system files somewhere. What happens with IE and Firefox?

i don't hav Firefox but IE does the same as chrome
