My laptop is connected to the wifi but it says limited or no connectivity.

I connected to the Wi-Fi but it says limited or no connectivity and when I looked for that dhcp address it isn't showing one. How do I fix it? I need to know asap.

Nothing wrong with your laptop, the problem lies elsewhere.

Check the router/modem & cabling.

Is this your wifi connection or someone else's?

Have you tried to connect using an Ethernet cable just to make sure your laptop can access web pages ok?

Can other computers/devices use this wifi connection just fine?

It's my moms Wi-Fi. Every other device that I've tried to connect to it will connect it's just my laptop that won't pull up any web pages. I don't know how to do the Ethernet cable thing. It's my moms Wi-Fi I don't want to mess anything up on it...

My laptop is an older Acer aspire 3000 it might be because it's older an I haven't used it in a while.
