my laptop is slow

I got Asus X550C laptop Windows 8.1 Pro The laptop was fast and it ran great whit out laggs
now laptop laggs to open google chrome it takes like 8sec even my mincraft who ran soo good now only lagg there is


Can somon can help me maybe recommend a program who could help

I have a netbook with 1 GB of RAM, and MC works wonders (about 70-100 fps) for me because of the Optifine mod (google it!). If you just want to do it in vanilla, change these settings:
Graphics: Fast
Render Distance: Tiny
Advanced OpenGL: Off
View Bobbing: Off
Clouds: Off
Particles: Minimal

With Optifine (if slow)
Render Distance: Tiny
Fog Start: 0.8
Fog: OFF (It looks like far render distance)
Animations -> Explosions Animated: Off (fixes a lot of TNT/ creeper lag)
Performance -> Smooth FPS: On
Try experimenting if you have Optifine.

Run a malwarebytes scan. You can download malwarebytes from malwarebytes.org.

After you've used malwarebytes and have determined you have no issue or have cleaned your PC of any malware or virus...

Also, Windows 8 has anti-virus and firewall software built into it. Windows Defender is what they call the anti-virus in Windows 8. If you have any other virus scanning product on a Windows 8 PC, it can slow it down considerably. If you have a 3rd-party anti-virus product installed, you might be better off turning it off and turning Windows Defender on.
