[SOLVED] My laptop keeps freezing unless I run a game in the background

I narrowed down the problem to the cpu ,I ran a stress test on it and during the test the laptop didn't freeze , so whenever I want to do something on my laptop I have to run the stress test during that time ,please help and thank you.

check the power plan? sound like it is in power saving
