Laptop model: Dell Precision 7720
Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-7820
GPU: Nvidia Quadro P3000
RAM: 32GB
SSD: Samsung 970 Pro

Hello good people. I was watching some video on my laptop and I didn't have it plugged in while watching.
All of a sudden I just heard a single beep sound and it went off completely. I try pressing the power button but the screen doesn't come on.

When I plug in the mains adapter it shows as charging with the charging light on, but when I press the power button the charging light goes off and still nothing shows on the screen. Could it be that the motherboard has died?

I've tried removing and inserting battery but nothing helps, so what remedy can I use?

thanks in advance for your response.

it's not booting at all, when I press power button, the power button lights for a fraction of a second then goes off, nothing happens past that

I took it to a nearby technician and he opened and cleaned it but it's only detecting sata SSD and not the two nvme slots I have, my OS is in the nvme ssd and for me to use it I have to install the OS in the sata SSD, could it be that there are some unknown problems with the connection between the nvme slots and the motherboard or is there something that can be done to get the nvme slots working, when we turned it on after the repair it said no OS found and we simuulated installing a new OS and it was only detecting the sata ssd

Sadly, it sounds as if the mobo is nerfed. It's an old laptop. These things happen. You could try and replace the mobo (with CPU/GPU), but this could prove expensive, and unless you know your stuff, is actually not very easy to do at all.

Reinstall to SATA SSD, and hope you get some more time out of it, before something else fails.

I've gone to bios setup and I can see under system information, in the m 2 sata its reading as none, primary hard drive none, dock esata as none m.2pcie ssd-0 as none and m.2pcie-1 its reading the nvme number as S463NF0M107556B,
could this be true that it's detecting the nvme ssd which has my OS, and now it's not detecting the sata ssd that it was detecting yesterday, when I try to noot though it's telling me no Bootable device found, and it says no OS found, is there away to set the primary hard drive when its in this status, in the boot sequence I've disabled everything apart from the m.2 pcie ssd, but still it cant boot from that drive, only saying no OS found,
