My laptop Shut Down by itself

I have Hp Pavilion dv3 and always overheat so quickly.It's always shut down by itself when im playing game like Dota 2 .What Can i Do to make stop shut dow or Do i need to upgrade anything or else?Pls help me Thank you

How old is this system? Make sure the exhaust vent isn't clogged with dust or anything else, also make sure it's not blocked while you're using it. You should know that some machines have thermal problems that can't be fixed and your machine may be one of them, however you can point a fan at it while you're using it and that will help some.

You can safely assume the exhaust vent is clogged then, you will probably have to take the laptop apart and blow it out. You can try a vacuum cleaner attachment and vacuum out the vent if you want though, just be careful of static electricity.

I have the same problem and the same Processor Intel core i5 m520. I changed 100% to 50% the maximum usage of processor in Power options.
Now it doesn't shut down but i can't use 100% of the processor. Any idea of what it is?

You really should of made your own post for that question, but it's probably the same problem with clogged vents... check it.
