My laptop speakers dont work

Hello,
i just currently upgraded from windows vista 32 bit to windows 7 32 bit
but the only way for my speakers to work is to plug in headphones first and then remove it. it can't play without doin dat

I suggest looking at your Programs and Sound window to see what your primary sound output device is.
