I was browsing earlier on and receives notification that I should restart my laptop to finish installing the updates. It's been like hours now, and it still is restarting. Is this normal?

Solution
Sometimes I hate updates...

if you can, on another pc download this and make a Win 10 Install USB: win 10 media creation tool

its just a boot disc if nothing else

change bios so Laptop boots from USB first, SSD/HDD second
boot up installer, on screen after language choices, select repair this PC not install.
select troubleshoot
select advanced
select Start up repair - this will scan pc and maybe fix start - will ask for logon info

Another thing that might help is just booting into safe mode
boot from installer, select repair PC again
select troubleshoot/advanced/start up options
on next screen, should get choice to select from 3 safe modes, choose one of tthem (it doesn't matter which)
Laptop will restart and load safe mode...

No...

Has it gone through a count process to 30% as you could try restarting it and see what happens, It should just continue to updates when you turn it back on

How do I quote?

@Colif. No, there is only that brown background and the word 'restarting' . There is no percentage at all.

I turned it off using the power button but when I turn it back on, the same screen pops up. Smh, I really need to use it right now too.
