Hi guys,

New laptop (4 months old) and It won't stay on. I was watching a movie and it turned off. It won't stay on for more than 1min (if lucky). Some times I have to press the power button several time to turn it on.

I've read previous forum input with similar issue but nothing seems to work.

It's not a power issues 'cause the battery is fully charged (I've tried turning it on with the power cable just in case, didn't work), nor overheating 'cause the laptop doesn't feel hot at all, the fan is working fine (I can't even hear it, but I can feel it spinning).

I'm trying to enable secure mode boot but when I try to go to this option my laptop turns off.

My intuition say it's a virus. But I'm unable to prove it.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Does it stay on for a while first thing then fail? When you try to turn it on again right after it shuts down does it let you? Does the Laptop feel hot underneath?

Does it stay on if you do nothing with it?

Sounds possibly like overheating, check your temps in the bios after it crashes next time.

Also if it's new is it still under warranty?

No overheating, yes I'm able to turn it one after It's turned off. It's not an overheating issue 'cause it doesn't feel hot at all (it's feels like a new laptop).

I was able to enable the "security mode boot" to try to run the antimalware and AV but after running them a few minutes it turns off.
