Yes it worked fine until i came home this afternoon . My son told me he dropped it , i dont know if that could be the problem ?

Well, yeah. Dropping a laptop rarely has beneficial effects.

I would suspect something is either broken or disconnected. What, exactly? Someone will have to take it apart and see.
