my lenovo x201 only works on battery

My lenovo x201 suddenly stopped getting power from the DC adapter. I have replaced the adapter but still nothing. The laptop worked fine for a s long as the battery lasted, but the adapter would neither power the laptop nor charge the battery. I have tried 3 different adapters, with and without the battery but still nothing. Also tried to hold the on button for 30 secs without any success
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

The laptop also has a charging port you would need to check. Send me a PM, I often get those laptops that I work on, it may be cheaper to replace it with a working one that to have someone fix the port in yours.
