Hi all. Hopefuly you can answer a couple questions i have.
Here are the need to knows.
CPU: q6600. oc to 3.2 400x8
MB: Asus Maximus
Ram: 2gb Corsair XMS2, 2gb Crucial Balistix. both are CAS4, DDR2 6400.
Video: 3870x2
Problem 1: Computer wont always start. Solution. Hold down power to turn it off, then turn it back on. It reads the cpu running 2.14. I am assuming its because i changed the multiplier to 8?
Problem 2: Computer wotn always start..... After restarting the computer i go back in to the bios, where the OC settings are saved, save and exit. Everything works fine.
Problem 3: Undrelated but i'll take waht i can get. I have 3DMark05 and 06. Both say that my system doesnt support 2.0 shaders and other crap and that i should run an older 3DMark. I can run test, but i cant run the Demo, tells me to run an older program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my video drivers. At the same time Unreal Tournament 3 stopped working, it would crash. Aquamark would never work, i dont remember the error exactly. And when i play Galactic Civilization 2, none of the planets and ships appear. In Crysis I have alot of flickering in spots, mostly foliage and mountains in the distance.
Could i have damaged my video card trying to overclock it?
