[SOLVED] My m2 drive is giving me a headache...

Long story short, I have a Kingston SSD A1000 480GB that i have been using it to run most of my larger games... Problem is now, for some reason, it refuses to both write new files (as in, it makes it so im unable to update anything or install new things, even tho i have over 150GB remaining on the drive) and keeps on remaking old files, even after deleting them (and shredding) permanently...
Any ideas? There doesnt seem to be any issues with the disk itself, at least what CDM can find.

That would be wierd, since i bought it about 6 months ago... But just to be clear, how do i even check that? didnt see anything in Disk Management...

That Sequential 42,763 MB/s number is abnormal.

Yeah, i have no idea why its showing that. Its only supposed to be 900/1500 mb/s.

Contact Kingston. Might be time for a replacement.

The only thing i could find that would potentially be what caused it is the writing cache.

It was enabled before.

Write cache on or off does not impart a 20x performance change.

I can still use/read the disk as normal and everything, just not write (or delete) anything...

Obviously, back up anything from that drive you wish to keep.
(you should be doing that anyway)

Then, contact Kingston. See what they say.

As you can still read data from the ssd then you should copy important data to another drive. And try to get a replacement for that faulty drive

Yeah, sent in a request for a replacement now, hopefully it will get rectified within 2 weeks, as it said on their site. Thanks guys!

Just to make sure its not Windows playing pranks, i copied everything to my old drive and tried to format the m2 drive, just to doublecheck...

And sure enough, i think the drive is busted, cant even format properly.
