My m2 sata ssd wont show up on windows

Hello, I have an m2 2280 ssd on my pc right now, a 500gb one. It is not showing up on windows disk management, its on my M2_1 port on my board which is a fatal1ty k4 b350 board from asrock. I have no idea why this is happening.

Version of windows? Model name of SSD?

M2_1 slot supports PCIE M.2 only. For SATA M.2 you have to use M2_2 slot.

Nowhere in the manual says that a m2 sata wont work on m2_1.. Thanks for this info, gonna swap it now I guess.
