So it's been a couple of months since I bought my Macbook Pro (the 2015 edition) with OS X Yosemite and it's been randomly disconnecting from my wifi connection for a couple of months. Does anyone know why this keeps happening or how to fix this?

Solution
-Update OS X to 10.10.4 if you haven't already.
-Reset your router, it may be one device TODAY, but the router could be having an issue(and if it is, no matter what else you do, the issue will still exist)
-IF after doing both of these things, restart the computer holding shift to boot into Safe Boot. Please test for the issue there, if it is occurring still it is likely OS X related, if the issue goes away in Safe Boot then it most likely is a piece of software that has been added to the computer. I can assist further beyond this, but since we are talking about several different variables, do the steps above, and that will eliminate at least two of them.

-Please post again if the issue continues, and let me know if it is or is not...
Maybe your WiFi is having IP problems? Mine did for a while as it came up with 'No IP Address' in the wifi managing window-thingy and that caused my Macbook Air to play up with the WiFi were I would either get it for a few seconds and then it would disconnect or I would just not get anything at all!

As for a fix for that? I have none to be honest - It just went away by itself - However, google is your friend!

I know it isn't my wifi because all my other devices have no troubles and the cable men fixed our connection a couple of days ago so my connection has been perfect. But with my mac what happens is that I might go to another page on safari and then the page would stop loading and then I knew that it sorta disconnected from the wifi, even though it shows that I'm still connected to the wifi. Same thing with Skype, my call gets dropped but it still shows that I'm still connected to the wifi.

Solution
The way that Apple integrated Thunderbolt technology was ridiculous, because it interferes with the wifi adapter. Simply click your wifi icon in the upper-right of the screen. Go down to and select "open network preferences." Then click on the Thunderbolt option. Turn off all options for Thunderbolt. Then remove Thunderbolt as an option. You should get a message pop-up which tells you that Thunderbolt is using your connection or adapter. Just remove it anyway. Once Thunderbolt has been removed, click "apply" and then close it out. Your wifi adapter will not have any more issue staying connected...at least it shouldn't.

If you are utilizing Thunderbolt, then I don't have a solution for you. But if you are NOT using Thunderbolt, then simply remove it. I don't plan on using Thunderbolt, so I will be fine. Happy always-on connecting.

I´m having the same issue with OSX Capitan, I´ve tried safe boot and the problem seems to go away. Do you know how can I identify what piece of software that was added is causing the issue? Thanks in advance.
