My memory card for my camera causes my computer to freeze?

i put it where its supposed to go, and when i try to open it to view files,it freezes. what's up?

do you use the camera's native app (to view/transfer files)?

1 - did it work before?? if not probably you have a SD reader and your card is an SDHC...
2 - unsupported contents... video in card contents crashing... codec needed... it will probably crash explorer...
3 - corrupted contents... try to retrieve with some sort of software like CardRecovery or other
