my memory upgrade

Hello my friends...I would like to ask you if by changing the ram of my system (asus rampage extreme 2 - (6 modules of 2gb =12 gb ) will see any significant improve in gaming...FPS
I have installed 12 gb at 533Mhz
If I put 24 gb will I see any boost( I have recently changed my graphics card to 1080)???
If so what kind of memory do you suggest and how should I place it?? I mean can I use 3 modules of 8 or should I use by force 6 modules

Check page 2-15 of the Manual for memory placement.
According to the manual the board will accept only 1GB and 2GB RAM modules.
The specs for the boards say max 12GB.
Also check the QVL for RAM starting on page 2-17.

I doubt you would see any benefit.
8gb is about the most a game will use.
If you are heavily multitasking, then more might be appropriate.
Monitor your activity in task manager/resource manager.
Look at the hard page fault rate.
That activity comes from not having sufficient ram to hold the working set of your tasks.
If you see a significant rate, say >1 per second, then yes, increase ram.

And... intel ram prefetchers are excellent so ram speed means little.
