I bought a prebuilt combuter by cyberpowerpc off of newegg.

Here's a link to it:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229560

iv had the pc for around 1.5ish years maybe 2 now..but i noticed there was a loud hum/vibration coming from my pc(started around 2 weeks ago)
that was emanating into the desk and i looked and i realized it was my fans going to shit lol.......however upon further inspection i noticed i don't have any 4/3 pin fan connector on my motherboard so any help would be greatly apreciated and if someone could recommend me some good case fans(cuz i dont no shit about pcs lol) id appreciate it lol

here is a link to the particular mobo that came with my pc

Solution

You could try using a molex to fan connector, this will bypass the motherboard and connect the fan directly to the power supply. The main downside of this is that the fan will run at 100% constantly.

Hey xwar91x. I'd be more than happy to help you find some new case fans. Are you sure that there aren't any fan headers on your motherboard? They may only be 3 pin instead of 4 pin headers. Also, what make and model of motherboard do you have?

Hi. I completely missed that you linked the motherboard in your original post, I apologise. There's a link below to an overhead view of your motherboard and I've highlighted the 2 fan connectors in red.

That's odd. Is it the same size, voltage and amperage as the old one?

If you take a look at the old fan, does it say anywhere on it?

Could you double check that you've installed the connector to the motherboard correctly?

Right okay. I suspect that the new fan requires either more voltage or amperage than the old one which is overloading your PSU. What wattage, brand and model of PSU do you have?

After a quick search, they seem to have a bad name for unreliability amongst several communities. Do you have another power supply you could test your PC with?

i tried what u suggested but it still was shutting down my pc on boot...so ii tried to connect the 4 pin to my 3 pin fan connector and it worked like a charm...which makes me think my 4 pin connector is faulty which is whats causing my pc to shut off........i appreciate the help with figuring this out :)
