My monitor keeps going into energy saving mode so basically it's swtiched off for no reason. the model is this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016QR3NR2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

it's been a bit of a pain going into energy saving since i bought it (should have asked for a replacement really) but now it's happening a lot recently. i've look through my power management settings, everything seems set up okay. anybody got tips on what the problem might be? my graphics drivers are up to date. the monitor is out of gaurantee now so hoping for an easy fix rather than buying a new one.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

On your Windows system turn off all energy and/or screen saving options.

On the monitor do the same.

Determine if the monitor stops going into energy saving mode.
Thanks, i'll disable all energy saving options and see how it goes but it doesn't look like any of the settings atm should cause the monitor to keep switching off. i reinstalled windows to see if it would fix the problem too. system specs below.

Is this particular part possibly to blame, i'm not very tech savvy these days but noticed modern standby is not useable.

I think that the problem is motherboard related versus the monitor itself. Consider RAM, BIOS, configuration, etc. as "motherboard".

= = = =

If at all possible swap in another known working (no power saving problems) monitor (or monitor capable TV) and test on your computer.

Likewise try your monitor on another known working system.

Determine if the problems follow the monitor or stay with the computer.

My thought is to move this thread to "Motherboards". More relevant category and someone else may have further questions, comments, and suggestions.

Test monitor(s) first just as a matter of elimination.
