I Just built my PC and I notice that whenever I turn on/off any electrical device or lights in the house, my monitor blinks 1s-2s. and I noticed there are some black lines blink randomly on my screen. ( about 1 black line every 30-60s, sometimes none ).
but everything will work fine, if I connect it to my old PC using VGA ports
Unfortunately, my new PC has a GTX 970 GPU , the VGA ports doesn't come with it . I am currently using HDMI ports to connect.

Is it because of my house electricity or GPU problems ?
will this damage my monitor or GPU ?
srry for my bad english.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, every time I start my computer up, all lights in my room flash. I believe it is a matter of the total power coming in and out of your room. I would imagine it would not harm your computer or peripherals.

I am not an expert in any way on this subject, but it just seems to be a power issue.

Thanks for your info. I highly think it is a power issue, I just want to know if i'll damage my GPU or monitor or not :)
Any idea ? :)

Hmm..I am googling the issue as we speak. I do not see any definitive answer. What kind of power supply do you have?

Corsair RM 850, everything works fine if I connect my monitor to my on-board VGA using normal VGA ports, this problem happens when I connect it to my GTX 970 using HDMI ports, is it because of the port ?
