Question My monitor has developed some strange looking black bars.

Recently my monitor, Acer GN276HL, has had some very peculiar looking black, but thin, bars appearing on the sides and one horizontally at the bottom. I did the usual, check resolution, restart pc, different port, etc. None of these have fixed it. Its kinda odd because they all popped up at around the same time. The monitor sees daily use, 8-10 hours a day, for the past 3 years. I don't know if this is a signal my monitor is dying or something else is up. I know for a fact it isn't my PC since i tested it out with my PS4, using a different cable and port, and the problem persists.

Hi,

There is a chance your issue is related to your panel and repairing it can be one way. I also see your warranty became void too. Try to contact Acer if they have any suggestions for you.

Thats what i was worried about, it being a problem i'd have to send it into to get it fixed. Its old and overused, doesn't even have a displayport so i guess i'll use it till its noticeable even with a quick glance. Thanks for the advise but i might as well finally get a 1440p at this point
