[SOLVED] My monitor isn't running at 144hz

In nVidia control panel it only goes up to 60hz, I am currently using an Acer Gn246HL with a HDMI cable. Anyone know how to fix this?
GPU Is 2070 Super gigabyte

In order to achieve 144HZ you have to use an HDMI 1.3 cable or DisplayPort cable.

Would I need a new monitor with a DisplayPort? Or can I use a converter

I see your model doesn't have a DisplayPort.

Use a dual link DVI-D cable and it should work!

In that case, my grahics card doesnt have a DVI output, Can I use a converter?
