My monitor keeps going on and off when i press the power button

my monitor keeps on and off , i have to keep pressing the power button all the time hp 2310i

It might be a faulty button.
Wouldn't want an entire monitor replaced just cos a button screwed up =P

Do you hear any noises at the power bar the monitor is connected to? There may be a wiring problem or a loose plug on that end.
