My monitor only has a VGA port. My GPU supports HDMI and DVI. What adapter should i get so I can view using DVI?

Monitor is an Asus VS228DE, GPU is an R9 280.

If your dvi port is dvi-I
You can use a simple and cheap adapter as the dvi-I includes digital and VGA analogue signals

If not you need a active converter

Yea, They are cheap. Infact, Most GPU comes with one.

Buy something similar to this, plug the HDMI end into the GPU's HDMI slot and then plug the male VGA cable into the VGA slot. It works for me, I have a very similar setup except I'm using a GTX 1050.
