Hello community,

I am having a problem with my monitor.
I just got it and used it overnight.

Main Display Model: BenQ XL2720Z - 27inch
This monitor has 144hz with 1ms feature.

2nd - Regular 60hz, 5ms monitor - 22inch

However, when I went to monitor settings and changed this monitor to be as 120hz or 144hz,
the monitor would stutter in motion with anything I do on the screen. (watching movie - the movement of the screen is not natural. I can notice that it's almost like lagging, stuttering in game)
Also, when I extended it to my 2nd monitor, whenever I put it on my 2nd screen, it is worse.
I cannot move around windows tabs because it lags so much.

So i switched it back to 60hz for the new monitor, it works fine.

My GPU is - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 and I use DVI - D Dual Link for the BenQ monitor with issue (cable came with it),
and second monitor hooked up with DVI-I Single connected to the DVI-I Dual port.

Can anyone tell me anything to try for this?

Please help me! would be much appreciated !!!

Thank you,

in the nvidia control panel make sure the gpu driver set to muilt monitor and max performance. make sure you have the newest driver. check that the monitor has the newest firmware on it. also check your mb bios to see if there an update to rule out a bios bug. also try another cable not all dvi cables are rated for 120 speed. if you want 144 speed you have to use the display port.
