My Monitor turns black for a second? Help! What should I do?

Sometimes when I turn off my speakers or turn on my AC my monitor will flash off for a second then turn on? Is this normal? The computer doesn't shut off or anything? I have recently upgraded to a 1k PSU. Is it possible I have to much electrics plugged in my room?

Turning on your AC could cause the voltage to drop. I guess amplified speakers with a big sub could do the same. You probably need something to check the voltage. If you live in the US, something like the Kill a Watt meter can measure the voltage over time.
