My monitor works only is safe mode - windows 7

Hello,
my laptop screen was broken....then i connected it to a new monitor....but after i connected to a new monitor it goes blank...but its works fine in safe mode....i think this is a resolution problem...i tried to log in from low resolution mode.....same result....screen goes black...can any one tell me how to fix this...

try deleting the drivers for the video card in safe mode and restarting the computer.
