My motherboard after a long time of the PC not being used is no longer working, it won’t post, fans don’t spin, nothing starts. The only thing is when the power supply is turned ON the START button on the motherboard lights up but the rest of the LEDs on the motherboard won’t turn on.

Leading me to think the motherboard is dead. Anyone know what’s actually happening here? Power supply? Processor? Ram? Or is it indeed the motherboard?

Re-seating components can sometimes fix random issues like this.

Start of with re-seating the RAM and also try booting with just one stick of RAM to see if that works.

Also, check for the Front Panel connectors (remove and re-plug them), and try manually shorting the power buttons' pins with a screwdriver to see if that's the issue.

Give more info about your system's specs for further assistance.

It’s a very old PC, I’m planning to upgrade this year but need it temporarily
Asus Maximus VII RANGER
Intel core i7 4790
An old Corsair 650W power supply don’t know exact model
The motherboard have a start button on the top right which lights up, the other red LEDs are now off and it won’t post at all, tried switching all the parts
