Hello,

In quarantine I was bored and decided to clean my PC, so I completely disassembled it, put new thermal paste on it(which is about 2-3 years old, idk if that matters). Ever since then, my PC seems louder than usual. I didn't know if it's the CPU or what, so I downloaded OpenHardwareMonitor and it seems that my Motherboard Core temps are crazy high, is this normal? What can I do?

Here are the Core temps in Celsius:

+- CPU Core : 38 37 42 (/lpc/nct6793d/temperature/0)
| | +- Temperature #1 : 30 30 30.5 (/lpc/nct6793d/temperature/1)
| | +- Temperature #2 : 120 120 121 (/lpc/nct6793d/temperature/2)
| | +- Temperature #3 : 28 28 28 (/lpc/nct6793d/temperature/3)
| | +- Temperature #4 : 114 114 114 (/lpc/nct6793d/temperature/4)
| | +- Temperature #5 : 112 112 113 (/lpc/nct6793d/temperature/5)
| | +- Temperature #6 : 112 112 112 (/lpc/nct6793d/temperature/6)

Again, these are the mobo Core temps, not the CPU, the CPU core temps look fine.

Many times.....when you get ridiculous values like those...it's the software looking for sensors that aren't there and you get ridiculous values.
I thought so too, especially because of the ridiculous difference in temps, but my pc is still making a lot of noise. I'm guessing it's the CPU fan, which runs at around 1.3k RPM, and my CPU is around 45 degrees max, even though I set the fan to 50% speed until 50 degrees. Is it maybe this that makes it so loud? Do you think?
