So I just built my first computer after months and months of saving up, and after installing the included software for my cpu cooler, I noticed that it says the motherboard temp #1 is at 111. After using it for a while, it goes to 112, sometimes switching between the two.The motherboard temp #2 is usually between 25 and 35 depending on the task. Thats pretty far from 112. So why are the temps being read as so high? Is it software? Corsair Link has shown three case fans that dont even exist running at 50 rpm before. If not, is it the fault of the motherboard and is it something to worry about? And lastly, should i return the motherboard or whatever is to blame in exchange for a new one? my specs are:

CPU: i7 7700k no overclock
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2
Motherboard: MSI Z270i gaming pro carbon ac
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb single stick @ 3000
GPU: None (gtx 1080 in a month)
PSU: Corsair CXM 750w

Thanks so much :)

I have seen this before and I reckon they are just false readings, either software reading the wrong sensor or trying to read sensors which don't exist, getting confused and putting a random number.

If you have your PC turned off for a long time and boot it up and the motherboard instantly says it is 112 then that can't be possible. Motherboard temp 2 sounds about right between 25 and 35.

I have a few of these readings on my PC and it has been running fine for nearly a year.

I installed HWiNFO64 and it also says the motherboard is 112. AUXTIN1 is being reported as 118. Can my motherboard really be that hot?
