Solution
I am using a nvidia GeForce Gt 1030 and my model is a go Compaq pro 6300 sff I looked up my system and it says the gt 1030 is compatable. Please help
Did you buy the GT 1030 used? The GT 1030 should work on your motherboard and possibly require some underclocking. If all else fails, you could use a GT 710 or 720, which are both still an upgrade over the Intel graphics and only require around 15-20watts. I know the GT 710 1GB DDR3 models can play Minecraft at around 60-80fps if that matters to you.

A rise probably won't work properly, as it may either just not work or be reduced to 1x PCIE. What GPU are you trying to use and what is the system model?
