About a month ago i upgraded to a gtx 970 from a gtx 760 on my pc after about a days use, the pc randomly died, so naturally i thought it was the psu, so i replaced it with a seasonic 650w after about a days use from that it died so after i turned off my pc i reset the cmos just to make sure, no luck so i thought it was a faulty psu so i got a warranty from it and about a week ago i got my replacement i installed it and the pc wouldn't turn on so i am thinking it was the motherboard got fried or is their something wrong with the cmos.

My pc
FX 8320
8gb Crucial 1x8gb 1600
MSI GTX 970
Gigabyte GA-78LMT- USB3
Seasonic G-650w

Solution
Try bench it start with MB/cpu/cpu cooler/PSU. http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1753671/bench-troubleshooting.html if you want you can test the PSU but I think the Seasonic is very good, PSU test: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=63991

If the pc will not boot, and the problem is from either cpu or MB. Then I recommend to buy the better MB like MSI 970 Gaming AM3+, ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+, GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P. If the pc can boot, then follow the step by step to find out which component has problem.
