Hi!
I have motherboard asrock N68C-S UCC,few days ago I upgraded my os from Win7 to Win 10,and I dont have any sign of sound,I installed all the win 10 updates, searched alot for a solution just to find out that on the official site of asrock I can find drivers but not for Windows 10. Is there anything that can be done about it or should I just downgrade back to Win 7?
Thanks in advance

Solution
If an older driver doesn't help my recommendation would be to pick up a cheap PCI sound card. I sometimes do this when a client has sound driver issues with Windows 10 and I'm not in the mood to spend hours trying to get old drivers to work on a new OS. The sound card would have its own Windows drivers.

okay thank you for your reply guys, my pc says neither headphones nor speakers are plugged in,so that was my conclusion, then I searched on the site for drivers and actually my bro found the same v.10 as DRagor did. Since I forgot to mention that this is what my pc says, was my conclusion even right and is it about mobo drivers?

Your motherboard has a Via VT1705 audio chipset. One other thing you can try is to force the generic win 10 audio driver.

1. Right click your start button, click system, and then go to advanced system settings
2. Go to hardware tab and go to device installation settings
3. Click no, then click Never install device software, then click okay.
4. Open Device Manager
5. Go under the sound field, select VIA HD Audio, and uninstall the driver, then restart your computer.
6. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930 - download the .diagcab file. (Windows 10 has removed the ability to blacklist updates without using this file)
7. Go through the steps and choose to ignore the VIA HD Audio update that is queued up.

sadly none of the bove suggestions worked :(
reffering to quilciri's post, my device installation settings only ask me if i want windows to auto download apps and icons available for my device, there is actually no option you mentioned to never install device software
this is what i got https://pasteboard.co/HaPPXy6.bmp

I tried running in compatibility mode with 7 nothing changed
