recently my motherboard internal soundcard were broken, i wonder if a usb soundcard would solve the issue or i have to pick pci soundcard

Solution
Yes, you can use a USB sound card. I would recommend a PCIe card, since there are many options and you could connected the front audio to it.
Before you install the new card, go to the Device manager and uninstall the onboard sound card.
Reboot, go into the BIOS and disable the onboard sound card
Well if the onboard sound is totally shot you will need something with a DAC and amp. Most pcie sound cards will have both, some usb sound solutions wont have both. Post your budget if you want and I will recommend something.

Are you getting errors related to onboard sound or does it just not work? I would go to your mobo manufacturers website and reinstall the sound driver before you go buy stuff.

i already tried my friends pci soundcard and its worked, i just wondering if i buy a headphone that have usb soundcard or usb port, would it work with my pc
