My motherboard supports SATA 3 or not?

Hello,

I recently bought SATA 3 HDD but i want to know whether my motherboard supports SATA 3 or not?

My motherboard is Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Edition P2411 AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5000+

I have SATA 3 capable motherboard or not?

AFAICT the board supports SATA II. In any case SATA 3 should be down compatible, unless you have some funny firmware.

Is there any card that can upgrade my motherboard from SATA 2 to SATA 3?

in which language the above document is i am unable to read and understand the specifications.

All I can tell from that document is that the computer ships with SATA II HDDs.

The chipset is an NVIDIA C51G, so it might be worth researching its specs.

The motherboard has one PCI Express 16x slot so I guess you could look for a PCI-e SATA 3 card. That said, your HDD's performance won't saturate a SATA II port so you won't derive any benefit from SATA 3. I would just stick with what you have.

The cards which i have seen uses PCI express 1x slot for USB 3.0 and 4x for SATA 3 while i don't have either 1x or 4x slot, therefore i can't upgrade?

it's SATA 3 under I/O CONTROLLER ONBOARD head in the specifications?

I'll leave it to someone else to recommend a card. However, the fastest HDDs are still in the 210MB/s range, so you won't benefit from anything faster than SATA II.
