my mouse clicks automatically

My mouse clicks automatically when I am using my computer. This is regardless of the software or the operating system I am using. So when I am typing, programming or working on the internet, the mouse will just suddenly click, right or left, wherever the cursor is. I should add that my computer is a laptop, and this happens when my usb mouse is plugged in, and also when I am just using the built-in mouse on my laptop. I tried to find something in the bios settings, but can't see anything. Can I fix it myself or does it need to go to the hospital?
