My mouse extra mouse button causes double click

My mouse has a total of 5 buttons, the normal left and right click then the extra buttons on the side. One of those extra buttons causes double click and I can't customize it in games (The game recognizes the button as a left click). Is there a way I could change that?

It would help if you tell people what your mouse make and model is. And I'm assuming you have the drivers from the mouse manufacturer installed and are not using the default Windows drivers. You should have a custom mapping solution with manufacturer drivers for the buttons. At least with my experience with Microsoft and Logitech mice anyway.
