Hi there.

This has been asked a lot of times before, but I'm gonna just ask again because I couldn't find any answers at all; I've got a Logitech M90 (Wired USB, it's like 1 year old already) and like 1 week ago it started stopping working at random moments, the light wouldn't turn off but the mouse would freeze for a second and come back, it would happen once every 1 hour probably, but now it's sometimes happening every 10 or 20 minutes; the mouse stops working for a second, sometimes it just gets disconnected and instantly reconnected, and at other times it just disconnects and takes a while to reconnect. This is extremely annoying, especially when I'm playing games. I've tried this:

- Reconnecting the mouse to another USB root.
- Uninstalling USB Root 3.0 in the device manager and reinstalling it by restarting the computer.
- Downloading the last drivers for my motherboard and basically for anything.
- Turning off the power saving options of the USB roots in the Device Manager.

Nothing of this has worked so far, I think I'm gonna buy a new mouse unless I can get any solution for this.

I realize you've said that you updated the motherboard's driver, but have you tried updating the mouse's driver and all the USB drivers? Just open Device Manager and right click everything one by one and select "update driver" and then "search automatically".

My other recommendation is to try plugging a flash drive or something else into all the USB ports and see if that disconnects at all. If so, then there's a problem with your motherboard.

I wouldn't recommend it, but you could look up online to see if there's a way to safely open the mouse and see if the wire's connector is disconnected at all.

If none of these options solve it, I would see if the mouse has a possible warranty to replace it.

If that's not possible, I would look into a new mouse. I can say from experience that Logitech is by far the worst brand for mice and keyboards, but they do make decent speakers. If you are on your last resort to get a new mouse, i would definitely look into Anker's mice (they're cheap and pretty durable) or Razer's (they're one of the best brands, but a little pricey).

Hope I was able to help at least a little. It could be worse, I've had to replace my motherboard and processor before and it was not cheap.

1. Just checked, everything is up to date.

2. Got my USB Keyboard, a Pen drive and my cellphone's charger connected to my PC and none of these disconnect, so I'm believing it's the mouse actually.

3. I'm terrible for this kind of stuff so I don't think I'll be able to do it haha.

4. Yeah, I was thinkin about a new mouse even before this problem started; Maybe a Razer one or some other decent brand.
