My HP laptop with windows 8.1 has a few link files with names like My Documents.

If I click one of these links I get told that I have no access to the file because the Location is Not Available.

OK to delete these link files?

Any reason not to delete them?

Thanks

I don't know how this system works. I received an email reply from Vembutech as follows:

Please refer the below link this might help,

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930128

I can't find that answer using my browser. I want to add the following question:

That link explains much but I still wonder if it is OK to delete the links. I don't need them because I simply open the real folders.

The statement abut the system becoming unstable if the default settings are changed make me wonder about deleting them.
