My new acer laptop doesn't play sound from my hmi cable

When I plug my acer "Expire Timeline X" To my TV HcMi Cable, there is no sound transfer with it.
Windows7, 500g, intel i3 350m processor. 512mb dedicated graphics. martyfh@gmail.com Marty

No, My card works with the internal speaker and head phones.

Go into your sound manager and change default device to HDMI out

if that's how it runs you won't get sound from hdmi.hdmi has to be enabled in the hardware and sound manager under sound options
