My new build has an vga and my gpu has dvi port (asus 1050ti pheonix) isbot compatible with my monitor?

Does that mean that i have to buy a monitor which has both the ports? Or every monitor is compatible???

What is the model name of your monitor?
Your GPU has DVI,HDMI,DisplayPort outputs. Your monitor needs to have any of those.
If your monitor only has VGA, then you'll need also active HDMI to VGA (or DVI to VGA or DP to VGA) adapter.
