Additional Comments: I have made a list of the parts for the gaming PC I wish to build. I wish to make a good build, not very expensive. I request the community to kindly view it and inform me with your suggestions, advises, recommendations etc. Also I request the community to kindly examine the list and inform me if there is some part whose specifications does not completely match with the system. As I wish to make sure that each part is fully compatible with all the other parts/system and if some incompatibility is found in any part I could change that so that I could build a perfect system and with that peace of mind. Unfortunately I lack technical knowledge to do it myself so I need community's help.

Your build will wotk as it is.
But, I have some suggestions:

1) For gaming, the 2500K will work just as well as the more expensive 2600K. The reason is that few games use more than two or three fast cores, so the hyperthreading on the 2600K will be largely useless.
Also, the 2500K can OC to the same levels as the 2600K. It is better to spend the $100 saved on a better graphics card.

2) The 6970 is a fine card. Your performance in gaming is gated mostly by the graphics card. So, why not get the best single gpu card, a GTX580? How about a EVGA GTX580 superclocked? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130590

3) 8gb of ram is good, but a sandy bridge cpu is largely insensitive to ram speeds. You might get an extra 1fps for that fast ram, not worth it to me. Just get a good 8gb DDR3 1600 kit like this for half the price:

4) If you love the case, get it; cases are a personal thing.
But, for half the cost, you can get an Antec 300 illusion case which will do the job:

5) The cm psu is not the best for the price, a xfx 850w unit delivers 70a vs 66 for the cooler master .

But a GTX580 only needs a 600w psu with 42a.
It is not wrong to slightly overprovision a psu, but it is really not needed with a quality unit.
I think a better buy is the Antec earthwatts 750 green for $65 after rebate It delivers 62a.

Modular should be a non-issue in a standard sized case. I would not pay extra for one unless I was using a small form factor case.

6) I strongly suggest you add a aftermarket cooler. The stock cooler is ok up to a point, but it gets noisy under load. A modest tower type cooler with a 120mm fan will cool better and be quieter. If you OC, you can go higher and easier. One need not be expensive. The Xigmatek gaia is only $27

The CM hyper212 is in the same price range and is also popular.

7) Lastly, for a top build like this, try to find the budget for a SSD for the OS and some apps. Expect to pay $2 per gb for a 80-120gb ssd.
My preferred brands would be intel and samsung which seem to have the fewest issues.. Most will perform well, being differentiated by synthetic benchmarks that are not realistic. Here is an Intel 320 120gb unit for $215
