Hey guys, so I'm upgrading my PC for 1440p and this is what I picked out. Please let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions that are better let me know. This is a high end upgrade so let's do this. Please note, I am looking for a 2tb SSD so the one I have listed will not be in the final build. So if you can link me to a good 2TB (price doesn't matter, I want a really good SSD) that would be great

Here's what I got. Those RGB fans are to replace the nzxt kraken. I want this PC to be nicely lit inside so that's why I chose Nzxt to be my aio.

Lastly, if you have a better case that suits what I have, and is compatible, feel free to let me know, same goes.for GPU and what not. Anyway, enough of me..here's my PC.

Nice and powerful line up, congrats.

Depending if the intended use of your system, 32 GB of memory may look like an overkill, if intended mainly for gaming I would go with 16 GB Corsair RGB 3200Mhz ( instead of the 3000MHZ), the website doesn't have Newegg entry so you could add it manually, they have great pricing on it = $214 shipped >> CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 >> https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236198

SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series 2.5" 2TB > $575 > https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA12K6U07938&cm_re=samsung_2TB_SSD-_-20-147-671-_-Product

Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
The internal workings are designed for the capacity of the kit.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards, can be very sensitive to this.
This is more difficult when more sticks are involved.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.

You get no performance advantage with 4 sticks of ram. 8700K is dual channel.
Worse, two separate kits are not supported; it may work, but why take a chance.
If you really want 4 sticks of winky-blinky, buy a 4 x 8gb kit.
Since it is harder for a motherboard to manage 4 sticks vs. 2, that choice may negatively impact your top overclock.

The impact of 4 sticks vs 2 sticks of ram on overall system performance is negligible, unless you're aiming for major overclocking experimentation, and the two kits you're buying have identical specifications so no major performance or functionality impact vs having them belonging to the same 4 sticks matched modules kit (it's just an extra verification and testing and guaranty to work together optimally from the manufacturer), thus you can test the memory sticks on your motherboard and return one kit if issues arise (which I strongly doubt).

R0GG but will they work with my setup? I'm currently using both kits right now and no issue is present. As long as they're the same model and brand I'm fine (I should think). My performance may be minimal but I still want to keep the 32 unless I have to change it. What's the worst it can do if it won't recognize one kit?

Also R0GG, anything else you'd change with my setup? Like perhaps a triple fan like the rog strix 1080ti OC edition. Better RGB lights? I want this to be just right so I won't have to upgrade for a bit.

You're already running the 4 identical ram sticks without issues (of course matched kit modules are more optimal), So I am thinking no need to change them unless you're very particular about future overclocking then you could exchange both kits for a 4 matched modules later on.
Triple fan solution from Asus on ROG strix 1080ti is definitely a solid choice and more appealing to me than the EVGA dual fan (although my 1080 ti is an EVGA blower fan), it will work well with Asus mobo not mentioning it's spectacular RGB Aura seamless synchronization with your motherboard.

Thanks R0GG you're awesome man! What kind of RAM would you recommend me get if I were to want 32. Money isn't an issue and I want some that has RGB and is really good...top of the line. If you have any suggestions that would be compatible can you shoot me a link?

- I would go for the sweet spot price/frequency wise seems to be at DDR4 3200 at the moment, there some Team Group T-force black modules with fixed RGB leds (one color) red for example but I prefer Corsair vengeance RGB (not the pro model) 3200 MHz(same model as yours but 3200 instead) both these models will work well with Asus Aura RGB, if you're planning to do the swap like geofelt recommended above for a matched 4 x8 GB dual channel kit it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to do it right away.

- If you're not budget limited why don't you get a M.2 NVMe SSD PCIe3.0x4 Samsung 970 evo 500 GB (and above) as boot drive and then the added 2.5 Sata samsung would be a storage drive ($200 >> https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147690)

Here it is. Let me know what you think.

Now, a couple things. Do you think this case is good for my setup? (It did win case of 2017)

Also, I'm gonna have to re install Windows but should I wipe everything off the SSD I installed Windows 10 on as well as my HDD? I don't want any issues to arise. Idgaf if I lose saves but I think steam has that backed up...some anyway.

Here's the new list:

Your case is a great tower compatible with your motherboard and your AIO CPU liquid cooler.

My understanding is that you're getting a new SSD for your new system, so a fresh install of windows 10 is strongly advised, you can use your older system SSD as it is as storage drive or wipe it off (after transferring your documents and files to a different storage drive), your older HDD can be used as it is as extra storage drive (you can re-organize your documents and files later between older and new storage drives wish to keep them all centralized on only one storage drive which you might make a back up)

In order to transfer your windows 10 license onto your new system you need to
1. Create a windows 10 Microsoft account log-in (online) into your older windows 10 system, linking your windows 10 license to your online MS account
2. After installing windows 10 onto your new system use online Microsoft account log in credentials to transfer windows 10 license onto your new system.
