My new Castlevania: Legends site (feminism-related)

Hello,

I have created a new site devoted to Sonia Belmont of the video game,
"Castlevania: Legends", for the Nintendo Game Boy and the aborted Sega
Dreamcast game, "Castlevania: Resurrection".

This site was created for a very specific reason. Koji Igarashi, the
frontrunner of the Castlevania series in Japan, has removed Sonia
Belmont, the only female star of a Castlevania game ever, and the game
from the official continuity. In other words, he's saying that it
never happened, and she doesn't exist. This is blatant sexism - as
you'll see when reading the site. The eventual goal of this site is to
have Sonia Belmont and "Castlevania: Legends" re-inserted into the
official Castlevania continuity.

Even if you know nothing about Castlevania and care nothing for video
games, I ask you to please visit the site and learn about Sonia.
Female Castlevania fans (including little girls) need a female role
model.

My god, you got too much time on your hands.

Firstly, do you care about sexism, or just being a slave to females,
pandering to feminists to the exclusion of any other goals?

Do you believe there aren't worse sexisms happening in the media
(including games) than a character of a certain gender being left out?

Have you got nothing to say about how the entire media is anti-male?
For example how the advertising industry never puts out an advert where
the female is perceived to be a jerk towards a male. It's always he is
a jerk. As if females are always perfect, and can never do anything
wrong. Do you think it's a good idea that those in power teach such
arrogance to females?

And how in almost all advertisments with "mini-battles", the female
wins. Even strength contests, or other physical contests.

How do you think these constant messages break down the psychological
strength of young boys?

Do you care about that?

Or about the fact that the male/female suicide rate has shot from
almost equal, to 4:1, directly in correlation to the rise of feminism
and the rise of anti-male sexism in the media. Don't you think that
breaking down the psychology of young defenceless male children through
the media has anything to do with this?

And then to waste time on such a stupid thing as a characer being left
out?

What's worse, being ridiculed or being left out?

the media and publicity do not reflect real life at all.
i'm a human being, male, living in a world where women are still viewed
as responsible for everything a man can't cope with : cohesion of
family, kids education... Women have much pressure on their shoulders,
believe me. When i hear guys talking, they often see women as object to
fulfill their fantasies, and nothing more.

Come on, this is advertisement. do you see bears drinking coke in real
life too ? 😉

one can say that the media showing always perfect bodies can cause
depression for a lot of women... It's always the same kind of excuses...

The correlation does exist in your mind maybe. Do you have studies,
numbers, proofs, to support your affirmation ?
Please don't joke with something as serious as suicide. The best i can
do is to point you to real studies about suicide, and you'll discover
that it's the method that males choose to suicide that makes the rate so
high. Many men will prefer a violent death instead of a death by poison
or sleep pills. That's why the difference is so high : if they find you
with pills still dissolving in your stomach, medicine can save you. It's
quite different if you have a pistol hole in the brain or if you spent
hours hung in the cellar.

Try to avoid seeing the media as a god and you'll understand the message
for what it is. Advertisement and soap operas should not have any grip
on your attitude in real life. At least when you're adult :)

IAWTP There are many times when men should be men ....and this is one,
its a game...get over it....and equal rights is fine, but being beaten

I'm getting this information second-hand, but a guy posted these
quotes from Koji Agarashi on a message board, which supposedly come
from an interview in Play Magazine:

"I'm always thinking of having a female lead character for my game.
Especially because with my stories, a female dies most of the time."

"For this game, since the concent was on "revenge", I simply thought
it would be better suited for a male character than a female."
