My New Computer is Freezing

My newly built computer is having a freezing problem. At random times when I am using it (especially when playing games) it will suddenly freeze the screen for 20-30 seconds and I will be unable to do anything. I was thinking it might be graphics card related because while it is frozen keyboard inputs will still make me move in the game and I can also continue to use voice chat but I'm not quite sure.

My specs are:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Graphics Card: MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1080 8GB
RAM: GeIL EVO SPEAR 16GB
PSU: CORSAIR TX-M Series TX550M
Storage: Mushkin REACTOR 1TB Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Motherboard: MSI B350M Gaming Pro

I would update the motherboard bios to the latest version as a first step.

I tried this but it seems to be freezing just as often if not more.

The reliability history isn't showing any problems at all.

have you made a memtest boot usb and tested memory? have you run tests for cpu/gpu? have to start ruling things out
