My new computer won't post. Everything is connected, and when I hit the power button, nothing happens.

The only thing that isn't connected is the SATA to HDD and SATA to optical drive. All parts were bought used, except for the PSU and the CPU cooler. The video card is not dead.

Never mind, I think I fixed it now by taking all the components out and just running the computer with my mobo, CPU, ram, and psu. I will respond again if I have further problems.
 
Seems to me Isleepalot deserves the credit here and not the OP.

I build a PC a week and always put it together on he benchuntil I see the white of the system's eyes. Only then do I put in it the case so if it fails there, I know where the fault lies.
