Hi people ,

I'm so excited , I ordered my new monitor , the 2408wfp A01 rev. it was expensive but I hope it worth it .

it cost me about 800 $ (sorry this is Israel.. we pay much more tax due to security and all that).

it need to arrive in one week...

Reganding your new Dell 2408wfp. I also want to buy the screen,
but i want to buy just the A01 Rev.
How do you know that you will recieve the A01 Rev?
I asked in Dell Israel, and they are absolutely don't
aware of the A01 Rev.
from where did you buy it?

I you absolutely want the A01 revision, then wait.

Dell still carries stock of the older A00 so it is possible that you will still get the older version instead of the newer version.

Of course if the 2408WFP being sold explicitly states it is the A01 version and you get the A00, then you can at least complain that you did not get the advertised product.

Back in 2007 BenQ sold the FP241V with a firmware revision of November 2007. BenQ updated the firmware in January 2007 which includes 1:1 pixel mapping (Goggle it if you don't know what that is). However, I have read complaints that even as of the beginning of 2008 people are still getting the original firmware of November 2007.

In Israel Its different we dont have Dell in Israel.
we only have distributors its it has a different way .
the distributors can order from the company the exact model we wish to have.

it better in some cases , but in case of warranty its not such fun .
