My gpu doesnt have a DVI port, yet my monitor only supports 144hz through DVI, and not HDMI/VGA (which are the other two connectors it has) so currently I'm stuck at 60hz. My motherboard has a DVI port but I don't want it to go off of my CPU, is there a setting to change that or am I screwed for now?

Hello here! What I’m going to be saying is only if you want to use the dvi port on your motherboard. Single-link cables support up to only 1,920×1,200 resolution, but dual-link DVI supports 2560×1600. DVI is capable of 144hz refresh rates, so it's a good choice if you have a 1080p 144hz monitor. Just like the one you have.
