My new GPU fried, no warranty?

I have bought a GTX960SSC from Micro-center about 2-3Weeks ago, and it fried due to water falling on it.

They tried to give me a $20 plan but then I refused it, and I looked on the internet to find out they have two types of warranty's, the Manufacturers warranty and their own warranty, and I was wondering if you automatically pay for the manufacturers warranty when doing an In-store buyout.

Warranties don't even cover user damage. You'll have to replace it yourself. The manufacturer's warranty you have because you purchased the card. But it usually never covers user damage.

Even Microcenter's extended warranty would probably not cover that, if you had bought it.

home insurance might cover it though, but the excess might be too high

I wouldn't make a home insurance claim on something that cheap. Asking for trouble.....

Yeah that would seem awfully silly to me. How would home insurance even cover spilling water on your GPU somehow?

accidental damage, got a new carpet from spilling wine once.

Yeah they would cover it. The problem is (former insurance man talking here) you want to be as invisible to your insurance company as possible. Pay your bills and don't use it unless you NEED to, a $200 claim if they even paid it (probably below the deductible), will probably end up costing you more than that in premium increases.
