I bought a new GPU to replace my 1660 Super. After putting in the new card I disconnected my network and went into safe mode where I used DDU to uninstall the drivers and once it restarted I installed new graphics drivers. But whenever I open anything or watch a YouTube video for a little bit it lags the whole system. I have seen some posts of people saying to use driver version 537.58 so I tried it to see if it would resolve my problem. So I did the whole DDU stuff again and put on the older driver and my whole system wasn't lagging anymore but my FPS in games is very low. It was between 5-20 FPS for FN and 5 FPS in RDR2 using the same setting I use with my 1660 Super. So I thought maybe a newer driver would fix the problem so I used DDU and when I went to install driver version 546.65 I just got a black screen so I manually shut down the PC after being on the black screen for a while (I gave it time to make sure it was finished installing). I ended up having to DDU again and tried to install the driver again because maybe something wrong happened in the first attempt and this time I got a black screen again but it also restarted the PC about a minute after going to the black screen and when I came back on it was still a black screen. After that I had no clue what else to try so I just used DDU and put my 1660 Super back in and that is where we stand right now. Does anyone have any ideas I can try next? PC specs are down below in the signature.

Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Since you upgraded your GPU, what GPU were you on prior?

Just an FYI, sig space specs can and will change over time. When that happens this thread and it's suggestions/solutions can be rendered moot to the user in the same boat as you're in now, which is why we ask users include their specs in the thread's body.
